Morning Star
Description
Morning Star is a black and white photograph capturing a kingfisher falling through a storm-darkened sky. The clouds are heavy and nearly black, a void, powerful and still. The bird appears caught between flight and fall. A being bright and sure that once soared effortlessly through the heavens, is now overwhelmed, perhaps broken, by the storm that surrounds it.
An image that speaks of change, vulnerability, uncertainty and isolation. Of the fine line between rising and falling, between our darkness and our light, between our best selves and our darkest moments.
